Get Ready for Ramadan: Priya’s tips for Home Décor

Monday 16 February 2026

At Hyde New Homes, we’re proud to create communities where every celebration matters and where residents can shape homes around their traditions, families and futures. And what better way to observe this special occasion than at Hyde New Homes’ Eastman Village in Harrow. With its inviting new homes, diverse surroundings, and a sense of community, Eastman Village is the ideal place to extend warm wishes for a peaceful Ramadan Kareem.

As Ramadan 2026 begins, we’re reminded that home is more than where we live. It’s where we reconnect, reflect and celebrate together.

Across our communities, residents are preparing to welcome Ramadan in ways that feel personal, meaningful and modern. Whether you’re hosting loved ones for Iftar, creating quiet moments for reflection, or preparing your home for Eid celebrations, it’s the small touches that make a space feel truly special.

Priya’s Decoration Tips

This year, we’re seeing a shift towards intentional living, homes that support wellbeing, connection and celebration all in one place.

Priya from the Eastman Village sales team said:

“We have decorated our marketing suite so we can embrace the festivities, here are some of our tips if you want to decorate your home too.”

    • Create a calm glow for evenings: Layered lighting- lanterns, also known as “fanous”, soft fairy lights or candles – creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere for Iftar and evening gatherings. Lighting has always been central to Eid décor, symbolising warmth and spirituality.

    • Hang string lights: Hang delicate string lights around your home or outdoor space to add a soft glow during evening gatherings and prayers.

    • Hang fabric banners and drapes: Use colourful fabric drapes or scarves to drape over furniture, doorways, or windows, adding a festive touch and creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere.

    • Bring nature indoors: Incorporate fresh flowers and natural elements, such as jasmine or roses, into your decor to symbolize renewal and beauty, and to infuse your space with a delightful fragrance.

    • Create a sweets display:  Ramadan is about togetherness. Showcase an array of traditional sweets, such as baklava, maamoul, or kunafa on decorative trays or stands as both a decorative element and a treat for guests to enjoy at Iftar, the time of breaking the fast.
