From live music and food festivals to outdoor experiences, there’s something to suit everyone.

Date: Saturday 15 August, 10:30am – 4:30pm
Location: Whitstable Harbour and Town Centre
The much-loved Whitstable Oyster Festival returns this September! Enjoy live music, street parades, beach games, and of course plenty of fresh oysters and seafood. With its vibrant coastal vibe, this is a brilliant family day out.
And that’s not all – why not join in the celebration of coast, community & craft at Whitstable’s Harbour Day which promises a full day of family-friendly entertainment and hands-on activities. With free entry, enjoy a bustling harbour packed with stalls, demonstrations and displays from local makers, charities and maritime organisations. Expect traditional boats, coastal crafts, live performances and plenty of opportunities to learn about Whitstable’s rich seafaring history. Whether you’re here for the food, the music, the boats or simply the buzz of the harbour, there will be something for everyone.

Date: June – September 2026
Location: Across the Royal Docks
At the Docks returns to celebrate summer with a packed programme of culture, sport and family-friendly activities running from June to September. With over 70 events and 300 activities from across the Royal Docks, enjoy the vibrant summer programme where land and water meet – offering something for everyone to enjoy. As part of the programme, there will also be a free lido open from 25th July – 17th August for everyone to enjoy outdoor swimming, with sandpits and deckchairs, surrounded by some of the best views of the city.

Date: Friday 7th – Sunday 9th August
Location: St Lawrence Ground, Canterbury
Launching in August 2026, this August weekender will bring together some of the UK’s most exciting artists with headliners, JLS, Becky Hill and Madness, attracting over 40,000 music lovers to Canterbury across the weekend. The open-air venue will feature international street food traders, and a premium selection of drinks, creating a true festival atmosphere.

Date: Monday 31st August, 12pm – 5pm
Location: Headstone Manor and Museum
Just under a 10 minute walk from Eatsman Village, head to the Headstone Village show and explore the grounds of the Manor, plus enjoy a fantastic programme of free entertainment for all ages. The Duck Pond Market will also be there, a bustling marketplace filled with artisan stalls showcasing local, sustainable and ethical food, crafts, homewares and art.

Location: Adur Recreation Ground
From the creators of the UK’s biggest Tribute festivals, bringing you 2 days with over 20 of the biggest tribute bands, 2 stages, thrill rides, kids activities, market area and bars – this free event is perfect for the whole family.

Date: Saturday 1st – Sunday 2nd August
Location: Preston Park, Brighton
A colourful celebration of diversity and inclusion featuring a huge community parade, family funfair, live music and food stalls. Brighton Pride is one of the UK’s biggest and most joyful events of the summer.
