Whitstable Heights: Whitstable Oyster Festival
Date: 12th – 14th September
Location: Whitstable Harbour and Town Centre
The much-loved Whitstable Oyster Festival returns this September! Enjoy live music, street parades, beach games, and of course plenty of fresh oysters and seafood. With its vibrant coastal vibe, this is a brilliant family day out.
Spring Acres: Summer Craft Fair
Date: 23rd August
Location: Axminster Tools Sheppey Way
Browse a variety of handmade gifts and unique local creations at the Summer Craft Fair set on the green. The fair features stalls from talented local makers, delicious food and drinks, and a welcoming community atmosphere. Entry is just 50p on the day, with proceeds supporting the Kent Air Ambulance.
Eastman Village: Concert in the Park
Date: 27th July – 17th August
Location: Pinner Memorial Park, Harrow
Pack a picnic and soak up the sunshine with free live music in the beautiful surroundings of Pinner Memorial Park. Just a short distance from Eastman Village, this relaxed afternoon concert is perfect for families and neighbours to enjoy together. Performances run from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM and are hosted by the Pinner Association.
Bluebell Heights: Brighton Pride Community Parade & Festival
Date: 2nd – 3rd August
Location: Preston Park, Brighton
A colourful celebration of diversity and inclusion featuring a huge community parade, family funfair, live music and food stalls. Brighton Pride is one of the UK’s biggest and most joyful events of the summer.
Riverside Square: Canterbury Shakespeare Festival
Date: 17th July – 9th August
Location: Dane John Gardens, Canterbury
Bring a picnic and enjoy open-air theatre in the historic heart of Canterbury. This year’s programme includes The Tempest and Twelfth Night, perfect for family-friendly culture under the stars.
Wildbridge: Arundel Festival of the Arts
Date: 11th July – 23rd August
Location: Arundel, West Sussex
Art trails, open studios, outdoor theatre and music events take over the picturesque town of Arundel. A summer celebration of creativity, ideal for families and art lovers near Wildbridge.
